Our Story
Derpy Tiger began with my older brother, who is on the autism spectrum, and a lifetime of learning how powerful tactile comfort can be. Supporting his sensory needs showed me early on how much calm and connection a soft, weighted, or textured item can bring to both kids and adults. Later, working as a Registered Behavior Technician deepened that understanding and shaped how I view sensory support at home. When warmth, play, and regulation come together, something truly meaningful happens.
Derpy Tiger exists to bring that same sense of comfort, safety, and joy into homes through thoughtfully chosen furniture, decor, and tactile tools meant to satisfy sensory needs.
why sensory spaces matter
For many, the nervous system is constantly searching for movement, pressure, texture, or quiet. When those needs go unmet, it can show up as restlessness, anxiety, overwhelm, or difficulty focusing. Sensory spaces help bring the body back into balance by offering safe, intentional opportunities to regulate.
These spaces are not just for play. They are for calming down, resetting, focusing, and feeling safe in your own body. Whether it is a spinning chair, a cozy corner, or a tactile toy, sensory tools help turn everyday spaces into places of relief and support.
Why tigers?
Who doesn't love tigers right?! I have had a lifelong hyper-fixation on tigers ever since I was little. Instead of pretending to “grow out of it,” I built Derpy Tiger around it. Tigers represent strength, comfort, independence, and instinct, all things I deeply connect with on both a personal and sensory level.
We all cling to little fixations that bring us joy, grounding, or emotional safety. The jungle-inspired world of Derpy Tiger celebrates that natural instinct. It is proof that the things we love, even if they seem quirky, can become something meaningful <3

Because many of our items are made to order or specially prepared for each customer, we do not accept returns or exchanges. This helps us create each piece with care and intention just for you. If your order arrives damaged or there is an issue caused during shipping, please reach out right away so we can help make it right.
when will i get my order?
We take 1–2 business days to process your order before it ships. Once your order is on the way, you can expect delivery to take approximately 5–7 business days. As soon as your order ships, you will receive a tracking number so you can follow its progress right to your door.
